PENSION PLAN CHANGES

The Pension Plan benefit for Legacy Core and Delta employees froze on December 31, 2019, meaning participants stopped accruing benefits in the Pension Plan on that date. Any benefit earned through December 31, 2019 would be available at separation of employment or retirement, subject to the current Pension Plan provisions.

A “frozen benefit” means:

No further benefits are accrued in the plan after December 31, 2019. This means that compensation and service after December 31, 2019 are not be taken into account for purposes of determining the amount of your benefit under the plan;
Additional service will continue to count only for limited purposes, such as eligibility for early retirement; and
Active employees as of December 31, 2019 became fully vested in benefits accrued under the Pension Plan as of that date.
